TUESDAY, FEB. 21 — B DAY Good morning/afternoon.
Overdue: Photography Contracts — You will turn them in together at the beginning of class.
I will call for them. Thank you for remembering.
Warm-Up: Bracketing and Exposures
Last Week's Learning Target:
You will know basic information regarding exposure settings--
1. by knowing how a pinhole camera works
2. understand the relationship between lighting conditions and exposure time.
A successful pinhole exposure print is clear, sharp and shows the intended scene or image with a range of lights and darks. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Today's activities: We will work in rotations staying in our groups to create pinhole exposures
We can do today--
Learning Target: You can make successful pinhole exposures using bracketing techniques.
Making more pinhole exposures using bracketing practices
Learning Targets:
Working on our Art Elements Collage. You will write the complete definition for each term, find photographs in magazines that are excellent example of these elements throughout the photo and label these examples using specific descriptive language- Example: thin and dark zigzag lines, foreground, middle ground and back ground, geometric shapes, etc.

Good Morning or Afternoon,
Overdue: Photography Contracts — You will turn them in together at the beginning of class.
I will call for them. Thank you for remembering.
Warm-Up: Add to Vocabulary List
Learning Target:
You will learn the meaning of theses terms—
6. Lens
7. Camera
8. Aperture
9. Depth of Field
10. Exposure
We will know --How to make successful pinhole exposures using bracketing techniques.
A successful pinhole exposure print is clear, sharp and shows the intended scene or image with a range of lights and darks. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Learning Target: You can make successful pinhole exposures by bracketing exposure settings, identifying problems with the print and making the appropriate changes.
Group work:
Look at your first pinhole exposure. Compare it to the next print or the most successful print. You can also look at your neighbor's work to help answer the following:
- Describe how they are different.
- What are some of the problems that you found with your exposures?
- What do you need to consider to achieve a successful print with your pinhole camera? (Hint: 4 considerations)
- What steps do you follow to develop your print?

We will be able to explain --
- What is meant by Camera Obscura and the Pinhole camera.
- How these photography terms are used--bracketing and chemistry.
You will know the meaning of theses terms—
In your own words explain what each of these terms mean:
- Camera Obscura
- Pinhole camera
- Bracketing
- Chemistry and the chemicals related.
- Photography
- Finish Art Elements collage and score it. Turn it in at the end of class.
FRIDAY, FEB. B DAY MONDAY, FEB. A DAY
- Finish Art Elements collage and score it. Turn it in at the end of class.
- Introduction to Principles of Design.
- Continue with pinhole exposures. A day students PS #3 and add Art elements to #4+ B day students PS # 3-4 and add Art elements to 4+
Next week- learning about the 35 mm camera - Introduction to camera parts and functions
- Introduction to exposure concepts- What 3 factors affect a photos exposure?
